Internship Diary at ASEAN Institute for Peace and Reconciliation (ASEAN - IPR)
Hi everyone! I'm Salsa, currently a fresh graduate of International Relations at President University. During my third year of college, I had the privilege of being a part of the ASEAN Institute of Peace & Reconciliation (ASEAN-IPR).
The Steps for Applying as an Intern at ASEAN-IPR:
1. Sending CV and Cover Letter to the designated email of ASEAN-IPR
2. Chosen as a Shortlisted Candidate to be Interviewed
3. Interview:
- Explain yourself
- Asked on your stance of Women, Peace, and Security Agenda
- Asked on your experience that related with the division you choose
4. The Final Announcement (usually will take until 2 weeks, hence, if you did not get any email after 2 weeks of your scheduled interview, they might already hitting up on other candidate)
I was applying as a Project Management Intern and was so delighted when I got the announcement in my email. The feeling was surreal and I am glad that I took the opportunity.
Top 3 Opportunities I got during my internship:
1. Being the Committee for Executive Director Selection of ASEAN-IPR 2024-2026
2. Attending the Farewell of the Republic of Korea's Ambassador to ASEAN
3. Attending the General Council Meeting
